2025 Summer Student Volunteer Program Applications

The Summer Student Program is open to post-secondary and high school students. Volunteers in this program are 16 years of age or older and commit to a minimum of two 4-hour shifts on the same day(s) and time(s) each week.

Post-Secondary Students: participate from June - August. Application window is open until April 16, 2025.

High School Students: participate for July and August. Application window is open until May 14, 2025.

We are continuing to accept applications for our Year-Round Volunteer Program. Volunteers in this program commit to one 4-hour shift on the same day and time each week for a minimum of one year. Volunteer opportunities in this program are mainly Monday - Friday from 7am - 4pm. Please note that evening and weekend opportunities are very limited.

Celebrating our Volunteers: National Volunteer Week April 27 - May 3, 2025

At Humber River we are fortunate to have an incredible team of volunteers who truly make a difference in the experiences of our patients, visitors and staff. National Volunteer Week is a special time of year to celebrate and recognize the amazing support our volunteers provide all year long. Our theme this year, Our Volunteers Make a World of Difference, celebrates this diverse group who consistently go above and beyond for our hospital and community. Thank you for all that you do!
