Applications for our 2025 Summer Student Volunteer Program are now available!

The Summer Student Program is open to post-secondary and high school students. Volunteers in this program are 16 years of age or older and commit to a minimum of two 4-hour shifts on the same day(s) and time(s) each week.

Post-Secondary Students: participate from June - August. Application window is open until April 25, 2025.

High School Students: participate for July and August. Application window is open until May 20, 2025.

We are continuing to accept applications for our Year-Round Volunteer Program. Volunteers in this program commit to one 4-hour shift on the same day and time each week for a minimum of one year. Volunteer opportunities in this program are mainly Monday - Friday from 7am - 4pm. Please note that evening and weekend opportunities are very limited.

Congratulations Ontario Volunteer Service Award Recipients!

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at an event held by the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, nine Humber River Volunteers were presented with Ontario Volunteer Service Awards in recognition of the help and support they provided to our patients and hospital. Their awards, broken down by years of service, ranged from 5 years – 25 years in both youth and adult categories. Below are some photos from the event.
