Join Humber River Health’s Convey Crew!

Pre-register and self check-in using the Convey app

You can now pre-register and check-in to some of your clinic appointments* with your smartphone using a mobile app called Convey (by Savience).

As a member of the Convey Crew, you can:

  • Pre-register, up to 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Check yourself in once you arrive at the hospital.
  • Get directions to the clinic from where you are inside the hospital.

*Pre-registration and self check-in is available for appointments in select clinics, with more clinics becoming available soon.

How do I take advantage of this process?

At the time of booking or registration, you must give your consent for Humber River Health to communicate with you via text messaging.  Only patients who provide consent will be able to use the Convey app.

Even if you do not wish to use the Convey app, your consent will allow you to receive text message reminders for your appointment.  For more details, please speak with someone at your clinic.

How do I download and register for Convey?

You will receive a text message that includes information about your appointment, instructions on how to download the Convey app, and a Hospital Group Code and unique PIN you will need to enter into the app.

  1. Download the Convey app from the Apple App Store or on Google Play.
  2. Once downloaded, open the app. Login by entering the Hospital Group Code, the PIN you received via text message, and your date of birth.
  3. Press “Complete Registration”.

 

 

 

Next time you access the Convey app, you will just need to enter your Date of Birth to sign in.  If you have Fingerprint ID or Face ID set up on your phone, you can also set up the app to sign in using those methods.

How do I pre-register for my clinic appointment using Convey?

24 hours before your appointment time:

  1. Sign into the Convey app by entering your date of birth, or by using your fingerprint or face ID.
  2. You will see a list of your appointments. Confirm your appointment by clicking the “Confirm” button.
  3. Confirm your demographics and answer some questions. If you see any errors in your personal information, please let the clerk know on the day of your visit.

How do I check-in on the day of my clinic appointment using Convey?

When you arrive at Humber River Health, there are 2 ways to check-in:

  1. Open the Convey app and click on the “I’m Here” button. Note: This only works if you have enabled Location Services on the app.
  2. Find the “Check-In” poster at the hospital entrance. Open the Convey app and click on the “Check-in” button to scan the QR code. Note: This only works if you have enabled camera access on the app

Once you’ve successfully checked in, you can head over to the clinic. You can use the “Directions” button on the Convey app for directions from the spot you first checked in for your appointment.

At the clinic, the clerk will verify your health card and identity and will give you a hospital ID band to wear.

Patients who feel unwell (fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat), please contact your clinic for further instructions.
