Virtual Video Visits

We have implemented a solution for HRH clinics to conduct virtual visits with patients from home. This can be done over telephone or video through Microsoft Teams. Find detailed instructions on how to set up for your device below:

How Do I Protect my Privacy and Confidentiality During The Video Appointment?

Humber River Health will make every effort to protect your privacy and confidentiality during your video appointment.  We consider Microsoft Teams to be a safe and secure online tool. As with anything else on the internet, there is a small chance of privacy and security risks.

All reasonable efforts have been made to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. In order to better protect your privacy and confidentiality while using Microsoft Teams we recommend that you:
  1. Use your own device (cell phone, tablet, computer, or laptop).  Do not use a device that your employer or another person owns.
  2. Do the appointment at home or in another quiet, trusted environment.  Avoid noisy, public settings, where others can hear or see your information.
  3. Do the appointment alone. You will be discussing your personal health information during this visit.  If you wish to have someone with you, make sure it is someone that you trust.
