Otolaryngology
The Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) at Humber River Health provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. Our team of surgeons performs a variety of procedures including paediatric otolaryngology surgeries, oncologic surgery and clinic-based laryngology and otology.
Our Division of Otolaryngology Surgery is a highly-experienced team of healthcare professionals that provides care to the Humber River Health and our broader community. We are a group of five surgeons dedicated to providing the best care possible to our patients. Our areas of clinical care include the following:
- Disorders of hearing and other otologic conditions
- Benign and malignant tumours of the head and neck
- Nasal and paranasal sinus conditions
- Treatment of benign and malignant thyroid and parathyroid masses
- Hoarseness and voice disorders
- Facial plastic and reconstructive surgery
- Surgical treatment of sleep apnea
- Pediatric otolaryngology surgery for otitis media and adenotonsillar conditions
Our surgeons are actively involved in the medical community as Faculty in the
Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at The Temerty Faculty of Medicine at The University of Toronto where they continue to learn and teach medical students, and residents.

What to Expect
- Patients arriving at the ENT clinic can expect a consultation and physical examination by one of our physicians
- If a procedure is required, you can expect the physician to obtain consent prior to beginning any procedures
- Each clinic is staffed by two nurses who assist the physician with assessments and procedures
- Most patients will go home on the same day following surgery. Those requiring overnight in-patient care will be admitted to the 10th floor (adults) or 4th floor (paediatrics)
