Our surgical division is a leader in innovation, with our surgeons trained in a variety of advanced technology to provide our patients with the best care possible.
At Humber River Health’s General Surgery Division we are proud to offer our patients highly advanced surgical options.
The Division of General Surgery has an interdisciplinary Breast Health Center that provides rapid access to care. Our hospital has one of the highest volume Bariatric Centers in Ontario and was one of the first community hospitals in Canada to have a Da Vinci Robot.
Building on the foundation of minimally invasive surgeries, the division members were the first to perform robotic ventral hernia repairs, and now expanding to colorectal cancer surgeries.
We also have a robust Acute Care Surgical program run by dedicated surgeons specializing in the laparoscopic management of acute surgical problems, to support our high-volume emergency department. We are expanding the surgical portfolio to include endocrine tumour management.
Whether you are referring patients to Humber River Health or requiring our services as a patient, the division of general surgery is committed to providing exemplary surgical care with compassion and professionalism.
