Dr. David Mendelssohn

David Mendelssohn

Dr. David Mendelssohn is a nephrologist at Humber River Health (Humber) in Toronto and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He completed his medical training at Dalhousie University in 1983 and has held positions at University Health Network and St. Michael’s Hospital. He served as Chief of Nephrology at Humber for 13 years and became Medical Director in 2019.  

Dr. Mendelssohn has chaired multiple medical committees and was awarded the Canadian Society of Nephrology’s Outstanding Service Award in 2011. He was a principal investigator for the Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Pattern Study (DOPPS) and has published over 120 articles.
