Dr. Joseph Sadek grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and then completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Western University. He did medical school at Dalhousie University, general surgery residency at the University of Ottawa, and then a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Toronto. Before starting at Humber River Health, he worked as a community surgeon in the Niagara region while completing a Master of Science degree in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety through the University of Toronto.

Dr. Sadek returns to Humber River Health as an Acute Care Surgery (ACS) General Surgeon, specializing in emergency surgery. He is passionate about providing excellent emergency care for patients, improving patient outcomes, and working to improve the patient experience through his interest in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.
