We are pleased to announce the appointment of Maria-Cristina Cavicchia as Vice President of Human Resources and Employment Legal Counsel, one of the newest members of our Senior Leadership Team.  

Maria-Cristina brings over seven years of legal experience to this role, having served as legal counsel at Fasken LLP, specializing in Labour, Employment and Human Rights. She has represented both unionized and non-unionized employees across private and public sectors, advising on the full spectrum of workplace matters. Her professional achievements include lead rankings by The Legal 500 Canada, numerous speaking engagements and publications. 

Maria-Cristina is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, and she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, graduating with several distinctions for her academic success in labour law and pro bono community legal work.  

In addition to her academic success, her expertise in the healthcare sector is notable, having represented several of Ontario’s largest hospitals and long-term care homes in her former practice, including Humber.
