Scheduled Water Shutdown at Humber River Health

Temporary Service Disruption

February 14, 2025

Toronto, ON – We would like to inform the community of a scheduled water shutdown that will occur from midnight tonight until 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025 to facilitate emergency repairs. During the shutdown, faucets, toilets, and other water-dependent facilities will be temporarily unavailable.

We encourage patients to seek care at alternative hospitals if possible, and to avoid visiting the emergency department unless it is a life-threatening emergency during this brief period.

We understand the potential challenges this may pose and we can assure our community that we have implemented several measures to minimize any disruption while ensuring the health and safety of all, including those patients currently admitted to the hospital.

Our staff, physicians and volunteers are dedicated to ensuring that your medical needs are addressed both prior to and during the water shutdown. Our priority remains providing high-quality care, and we thank the community for their patience and understanding.

Thank you for your continued trust and cooperation.
