Why We Care: The Volunteer POV

By Humber River Health

To be a humanitarian is to help others in need, rewarding everyone with the same amount of respect and benevolent treatment. The nearly 500 volunteers at Humber River Health consistently display humanitarian characteristics as they help and care for all staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, and visitors with an outpour of compassion, professionalism, and respect.

In honour of World Humanitarian Day, a few of Humber’s outstanding volunteers shared why they care about devoting their time to helping others.
