Addictions

Our mission is to help people become abstinent from drugs and alcohol. We aim to improve their quality of life and raise self-awareness through education and counselling.

HRH provides an integrated mental health and addictions service with a capacity to deliver assessments for individuals experiencing addictions issues and/or a psychiatric condition.

These addiction services assist individuals along the harm reduction to abstinence spectrum to develop and follow through with a treatment plan. Priority will be given to patients already connected with HRH and to patients being referred by a variety of community organizations that has a written Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with HRH.

Inpatient Withdrawal Management Program (Detox)

HRH’s Withdrawal Management Program serves individuals whose withdrawal symptoms require monitoring by medically trained staff.

Individuals are assessed and offered support while awaiting admission to this service. Post-discharge treatment is planned and arranged during this period. Once admitted, medical care is available on a constant basis to monitor and manage the withdrawal process. Upon discharge, the individual continues to be supported through outpatient monitoring.

Assessment and Discharge Tools are done in-house for individuals who are being referred to external substance abuse treatment programs.
