Spiritual care

Spiritual Care is an essential part of the healing process. As such, we try to help you in any way that we can. Whether you would like prayers, a blessing, a baptism or would just like to talk to someone, our Chaplains are here for you.

Chapel or quiet rooms are located on the main floor in the North/South corridor at our Wilson site, and on level 0 at our Finch site. These are always open to patients, families and friends for prayer and meditation. You may also make arrangements to use a chapel for a special service, or attend one of the multifaith services offered by our hospital Chaplains.

Our Chaplains are also a part of your health care team, and they offer spiritual and religious support without bias. If religious practices may affect your care, please let your health care team know. They will do their best to meet your needs. While you are in the hospital, you or your family may ask to see the Chaplain, your own minister or church visitor, or a representative of your faith. Any member of your health care team can help you arrange this, or you may contact Chaplain Services directly at 416 242-1000 ext. 82800.
